Goddard LIVE on BBC for Reading and Leeds
An emotional debut for his new track MISS U - Live visuals for Reading and Leeds
Goddard wanted to do something for his biggest sets of the year at Reading and Leeds fest.
His new song Miss U is all about cherishing the ones you hold dear. He wanted phones up at a festival to take on an entirely new meaning.
Filmed live on the BBC he asked fans and audiences to hold up a photo of someone they missed, leading to hundreds and hundreds of phones going up – during the track. Fans also sent in names in people who had passed on, and we ran them across the ceilings in tribute. And finally – at the end of the song, a photo of Goddard and his mum, who passed away in 2019, flooded the screens – with the ceiling saying ‘MISS U MUM. A triple threat on pulling heartstrings live on British Telly.
The content of this flew on socials garnering nearly a million views across all platform, with people saying how heartfelt and emotional it was – positioning him as the loveable everyman of DNB. Messages poured in from all over of people telling him how much it meant to them to see their special person on the big screen.
